"Travelling festival 2023"

COMPETITION REGULATIONS

We invite your group to participate in the international vocal and dance festival-competition "Travelling Festival 2023. Tallinn", which will take place on October 21-22, 2023, in Tallinn, Estonia, at the cultural center "Kultuurikeskus Lindakivi" (J.Koorti 22, 13623 Tallinn).

1. Festival Participants:
1.1. Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian children's and youth dance groups of various dance styles (street, show, contemporary, stage, entertainment, national);
1.2. Various Lithuanian and European children's and youth vocal ensembles: studios, pop choirs, show groups, ensembles performing popular music.
1.3. Choirs (girls, boys, mixed)
1.4. Instrumental groups;
1.5. Original genre groups;
1.6. Participants are divided into age categories: 5-11 years; 12-18; 19-25.

2. Festival Program:
2.1. Vocal groups of festival participants perform two songs (choreographic groups - two dances), with a total performance duration of no more than 8 minutes.
2.2. Vocal ensembles perform their program selectively to a backing track with vocals ("plus" or "minus").
2.3. Each group should consist of at least eight members.

VOCAL AND DANCE GROUP COMPETITION PERFORMANCE

3. Participation Conditions:
3.1. Age categories: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19 years.
3.2. Vocal group nominations: pop, jazz, classical, folk, rock, world hit, original song.
3.3. Dance group nominations: show, pop, folk, street, modern, classical.
3.4. All participating groups in the competition will be awarded in the categories of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
3.5. In the competition program, vocal groups perform one live song, and dance groups perform one dance.

Groups can choose to participate either in the festival program only or in the competition program only.

4. Planned Festival-Competition Schedule:

1-day (2023-10-21):
14:00-16:00 Rehearsal
16:30-19:00 FESTIVAL-COMPETITION
19:00-21:00 Dinner at the hotel
Overnight at a 3*** hotel.

2-day (2023-10-22):
8:00-10:00 Breakfast at the hotel
Check-out from the hotel by 12:00
(The festival organizers reserve the right to change the program schedule)

5. Participation Fee (includes: one night in a 3*** hotel in a double or triple room; meals: dinner, breakfast, organizational expenses of the festival):
- Festival participant: 75 euros (a group participating in the competition +5 euros per participant)
- Accompanying person: 60 euros
- Group leader: 60 euros (group leader with a group of 15 people - free of charge).
- The accommodation cost for bus drivers will be provided separately to each group.

6. Travel expenses to the festival are covered by the participants themselves. (To save on transportation costs, you can collaborate with other groups from your city or cities along the way to the festival, and the festival organizer will provide you with their contacts).

7. Groups wishing to participate in the festival must submit an application along with two high-quality photos of the group reflecting their stage activities.

Applications are accepted until October 1, 2023.

8. The duration of the festival concert and the number of slots are limited, so the selection of groups will be based on the time of application submission. The application process may be closed even before the application deadline if the festival's performance schedule is fully booked.

9. The group leader who submits the application will be required to pay an advance of 20 euros per person within five days of submitting the application. The remaining amount will be paid according to a separately agreed schedule.
