 “Travelling Talents 2026”

COMPETITION REGULATIONS

We invite your group to take part in the International Vocal and Dance Festival-Competition “Travelling Talents 2026. Tallinn”, which will take place on 21 February 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia, at the Cultural Center “Kultuurikeskus Lindakivi” (J. Koorti 22, 13623 Tallinn).

Applications are accepted until 1 February 2026.

Preliminary event schedule (21.02.2026):
12:00–15:00 — rehearsals
15:00–18:00 — FESTIVAL–COMPETITION
18:30–19:00 — awards ceremony
(The program may change depending on the number of participants.)

1. Festival participants:

1.1. Children’s, youth, and adult dance groups from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia representing various dance styles (street, show, contemporary, stage, ballroom, folk);
1.2. Children’s, youth, and adult vocal groups from Lithuania and Europe: studios, pop choirs, show groups, ensembles performing popular music;
1.3. Choirs (girls’, boys’, mixed);
1.4. Instrumental ensembles;
1.5. Original genre groups;
1.6. Participants are divided into age categories: 5–11; 12–18; 19–25; 26+.

2. Festival program:

2.1. Vocal groups perform two songs, dance groups perform two dances. The total performance duration must not exceed 8 minutes.
2.2. Vocal groups may perform their program using either “plus” (backing with lead vocals) or “minus” (instrumental) backing tracks.

 

VOCAL COMPETITION
3. Competition participants:

Children’s and youth vocal groups from the country: studios, pop choirs, show groups, ensembles, as well as soloists performing pop, rock, jazz, country, folk, gospel, blues, hip-hop, and other music styles.

3.1. Age categories: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13, 14–16, 17–19, 20+.

3.2. Soloists perform one song live using a “minus” backing track. Backing vocals may be recorded fragmentarily and must not duplicate the main vocal part. Song duration — up to 4 minutes.

3.3. Vocal groups perform one song live using a “minus” backing track. The use of “full” (plus) backing tracks, even fragmentarily, is not allowed. Recorded backing vocals are not permitted in the backing tracks of vocal groups. Song duration — up to 4 minutes. Duos, trios, quartets, etc., are classified as vocal groups.

3.4. Evaluation: The jury evaluates vocal preparation and professionalism, intonation and articulation, originality, stage image, arrangement, and the suitability of the performance to the participant’s age category. When evaluating ensembles, the jury will also consider their ability to perform polyphonic works. The decision of the jury is final and not subject to appeal. The organizers and the jury reserve the right to transfer nominations to other categories if there are no worthy participants in a specific category.

 

DANCE GROUP COMPETITION
4. Conditions of participation:

4.1. Age categories: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13, 14–16, 17–19, 20+.
4.2. Dance categories: SHOW, POP, FOLK, STREET, MODERN, CLASSICAL dance.
4.3. Awards: In each age and dance category, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place laureates will be announced. All participants will receive festival souvenirs. The organizers and the jury reserve the right to change the number of nominations and transfer them between categories.

Groups may choose to participate only in the festival or only in the competition program.

 

Applications are accepted until 1 February 2026.

The duration of the concert program and the number of available places are limited; therefore, groups will be selected according to the order of application submission. Application acceptance may be closed before the final deadline if the concert program is fully booked.

 

Participation fee must be paid by 6 February 2026:
soloist — €50
duo member — €30
vocal group member — €25
dance group member — €25

 

Accommodation package (optional):

One night 21–22 February 2026 in a 3-star hotel, accommodation in double or triple rooms, breakfast and dinner (buffet style). Every 16th person in the group stays free of charge.
Price: €60–65 per person (depending on the hotel).

If accommodation is required, please contact the organizers as early as possible to confirm the required number of hotel places. The hotel payment schedule will be arranged individually with each group. A 50% advance payment is required to reserve accommodation.
